If you have Medi-Cal or Private Health Insurance, you may qualify for doula support throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. Our Medi-Cal/Private Insurance Doula Support Package is designed to meet state-covered benefits, ensuring you receive the highest level of care at no out-of-pocket cost.
 

What’s Included:
 

✔ Prenatal Support – Birth education, comfort measures, and emotional guidance to help you feel confident and prepared.

✔ Continuous Labor & Birth Support – In-person care from early labor through delivery, offering hands-on comfort, advocacy, and reassurance.

✔ Postpartum Support – Personalized recovery support, newborn care education, and lactation guidance to help ease your transition into parenthood.
 

Medi-Cal, Managed Care Plans Under Medi-Cal and many private health plans outline doula support as follows:

- One initial visit.
- 8 - 11 additional visits that can be provided in any combination of prenatal and postpartum visits.
- Support during labor and delivery (including labor and delivery resulting in a stillbirth) or miscarriage.
- Up to two three-hour postpartum visits after the end of pregnancy

Want Additional Support?
 

Medi-Cal also covers additional visits available depending on our doula availability. Extra prenatal or postpartum visits can be covered with additional recommendation from your primary care provider if needed. Ask us about adding more sessions to your care plan or for the Doula Recommendation form.
